I can’t remember a time in my life that I didn’t answer ‘doctor’ to the question ‘What do you want to be when you grow up?’. I always knew I wanted to help & I was beyond impressed & amazed with what the body was capable of. I also come from a family of chiropractors - which started with my dad, my older cousin, and my husband - it was clearly my destiny.
I attended undergraduate at the University of Iowa, went on to work for a couple years after graduation before following my true dream of getting my doctorate attending Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. While at Palmer, I was active in Sigma Phi Chi professional sorority & was a study room assistant. I also earned a bachelors of science while getting my doctorate. I also met Dr. Bryan on our first day, we have been inseparable ever since.
After graduation we worked in Des Moines, IA for a year and moved to TX the following year. Dr. Bryan & I always had a dream of running a family practice where we could not only serve families & help them to be the healthiest versions of themselves but also where we could have and raise our family. 3 years after being in Texas that dream became a reality and we purchased what is now Dallas Synergy Chiropractic(with a 10 week old newborn - Chet).
While in practice I quickly discovered the lack of resources and empowerment of the bodies abilities - specifically in natural conception, pregnancy, postpartum and kiddos struggling with the multitude of diagnosis they get labeled with today. The journey started with what seemed to be an ‘uneventful pregnancy & beautiful delivery’ of our son, Chet. I had a beautiful water birth with a midwife but he had a short cord, which caused the pushing stage of delivery to be a longer than necessary.
He also had TOTs(tethered oral tissues/ ties) which was discovered after a very difficult nursing relationship - that wasn’t addressed or noticed by multiple providers. It was during this time that I knew I needed to assist in filling the void of helping families & mothers to not only have the necessary resources available to them but also guidance on prevention of these issues for future family goals. Being able to support families and women through their conception to not only have success but also to empower them to make the best health decisions for their future & current family is my greatest passion.
Along with running Dallas Synergy Chiropractic, Dr. Brittney can be found doing outdoor activities with Dr. Bryan, Chet, Tinsley & their two dogs - Garth & Lexy. She’s always working on some sort of DIY project & loves plants(a little to much if you ask Dr. Bryan). She may live in the city but is a farm girl from Iowa at heart.

Oftentimes we read miracle stories and think if only I got an adjustment all would be better. The ING in healing means it is a process. In college went back to chiropractor for sports injuries. After consistent care the stitch in my side went away, the chronic colds were less, my allergies have improved, and ultimately I am much healthier.
